The First of Four Thursdays

So you’ve finished a draft of your memoir. Now what? This four-week class will give you actionable revision strategies for shaping messy first drafts into coherent, compelling narratives. Each class will address a revision technique for your memoir: from finessing the structure, to enhancing the details and worldbuilding, to sharpening your character development. While we will not workshop student work, there will be opportunities for students to share challenges and goals for their projects and to brainstorm revision ideas. Expect to leave this class with a toolbox of craft techniques for honing your draft, and a detailed plan for moving toward revision.
